Knitting Trees Freie Projekte Hinaus aus dem Büro und ab in die wilde Natur: Mit dem Tatendrang und der Unbedarftheit eines Kindes wollten wir ein Baumhaus bauen. Mit den Augen und der Erfahrung eines Erwachsenen suchten wir nach Rastern in den Bäumen. Diese Raster verknüpften wir miteinander und bauten abstrakte Flächen in bis zu 8 Metern Höhe. Entstanden ist eine begehbare Architekturinstallation in den Tiefen des Pfälzer Waldes. Eines Tages werden vielleicht vom Weg abgekommene Spaziergänger sie entdeckten und sich wundern. Das Ergebnis wurde im Rahmen des Design Preis 2004 der Japan Design Foundation präsentiert. Knitting Trees Out of the office and into the wild nature: With the thirst of action and openes of a child we wanted to build a tree house. With the eyes and the experience of an adult we were looking for grids in the trees. We knitted those grids with each other and build abstract layers in up to 8 meters height. What came out is a walkable architecture installation deep in the Pfaelzer forest. One day maybe strollers which lost the path will discover the installation and will wonder about it. The resulat was presented at the design award 2004 of the Japan Design Foundation. |
